Since I was a kid I have always been drawn to sports and disciplines. As a kid and during my school years I practiced everything I could. Tae Kwon Do, Tennis, Soccer, Basketball, Table Tennis, Fencing, Football, exercise at the gym, even Tai Chi for a summer are some of the activities I tried, but I would just jump back and forth from one activity to the next until 2009 when I started practicing Yoga. My first incursions into yoga were with Vinyasa and Anusara classes, but very shortly after that I took my first Ashtanga class with Ana Hollis and loved it. She introduced me to the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga, Mysore style classes, and to many great Yoga teachers, including her own: Tim Miller. Thanks to Ana and to Yoga Shala SA, I also had the opportunity to attend workshops with David Swenson, David Williams, Tim Miller, Andrew Eppler, Kino MacGregor, and other great teachers who shared their knowledge and insights with us, and in the Fall of 2013 I finished my first Teacher Training with Ana Hollis and Lisa Long. In 2014, a few people started calling me teacher... every Monday I meet with them and teach my class. I love doing this, and I hope this will continue to grow in the years to come.
