Growing up I practiced Gymnastics, Dance and Taekwondo. I soon discovered a love for Yoga. The relationship between the mind, body and breathe intrigued me. I practiced many different disciplines of yoga but my heart gravitated towards the traditional style of Ashtanga. I feel that Ashtanga is a gift you give yourself everyday. It is truly a transformational and healing practice. In my personal practice; Ashtanga has helped me grow stronger mentally, physically and spiritually. It has guided me to live a more mindfully balanced life and also helped me become more fearless, on and off the mat.
I completed the teacher training program in Ashtanga Yoga in October 2015 at Yoga Shala San Antonio with my teachers Ana Hollis, Alejandro Reyes & Shari Gaiennie. With gratitude I respectfully bow to all the teachers I have had the opportunity to attend workshops and train with. Thank you to Tim Miller, David Swenson, Eddie Stern, Tim Feldmann, Kino Mac Gregor, Andrew Bresnen & Natasha Teran for being an inspiration in my life.
I am currently RYT-200 hr certified with Yoga Alliance Registry and continue to always be a student and will never stop learning. My teaching style is compassionate and encouraging. I enjoy applying ancient wisdom and thought provoking philosophy during class, while focusing on hands on adjustments for proper alignment, in addition to supporting the growth of the physical and spiritual self. I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist and a proponent for viable modalities to help enhance overall health, healing & well being.
